ANDORRA AT A GLIMPSE
Exhibition of contemporary photography from Andorra
On the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Andorra's accession to the United Nations, the Government of Andorra is organising an exhibition of contemporary photography from Andorra.
As part of the Cultural Diplomacy Programme, promoted by the Cultural Action Area of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the exhibition will be presented in the cities where the Principality has diplomatic missions. These include Madrid, Paris, Lisbon, Brussels, Geneva, New York, Vienna and Strasbourg.
Through the eyes of professional photographers currently working in the country, the exhibition allows us to get to know contemporary Andorra in areas as diverse as urban life, institutions and culture, without forgetting the Principality's natural heritage, traditions and cultural richness.
The curator and Andorran photographer of the exhibition, Anna Bonet, collects thirty images by twelve artists from the country: Tony Lara, Facundo Santana, Maricel Blanch, Natalia Montaner, Éric Rossell, Carles Esteve, Laura Gálvez-Rhein, Isidre Escorihuela, Montserrat Altimiras , David Vilanova, Ray Vüilsen and Naiara Escabias. Each of them offers snapshots to make you reflect on a modern and diverse Andorra, nourished by the past to move forward with firm steps into the future.
