Champagne, Mediterranean climate, beach walks along the Côte d'Azur with a leopard, tête-à-têtes by the sea. In its spring exhibition, OstLicht Gallery plunged into the magical, sometimes bizarre, but always dazzling moments of the glamour of the latter half of the 20th century, embodied by celebrities like Romy Schneider, Jack Nicholson, Muhammad Ali, Elisabeth Taylor, Twiggy, Gary Cooper and Alfred Hitchcock.
While Grace Kelly and Jean-Pierre Aumont enjoy their breakfast in a white pavilion on a seaside terrace, two James Bonds, Sean Connery and Roger Moore, are celebrating with their colleagues in Cannes. Here 22-year-old Brigitte Bardot takes us to Pablo Picasso’s studio and Sharon Tate gives Roman Polanski a new haircut for right next to Sophia Loren posing in a dress with an elegant waistline and a summer hat on the balcony of the Carlton Hotel.
These places filled with flair, vessels for our dreams, offer sweet occasions for intimate encounters and provide the perfect stage to the charismatic characters to strike a pose.
