ELFIE SEMOTAN
Elfie Semotan, the Austrian fashion and advertising photographer, celebrates her 80th birthday this summer. The internationally successful photographer since the 1970s began her career in the 1960s, initially in front of the camera, as a model in Paris. Exactly 20 years ago, WestLicht opened its doors with her exhibition Elfie Semotan - Helmut Lang. OstLicht pays tribute to the artist with a special selection of early fashion shots of Semotan as a mannequin as well as prints from her first advertising assignments and also offers later artistic works.
