How can we encounter photographs with language, how can what is seen be expressed in words through poetry? For the photographer Ren Hang, writing was an indispensable part of his art: he published his poems on his blog and shared them with the public alongside his pictures. Together with Caitlyn Stone, a literary scholar and expert in the field of Witness Poetry, we embark on a creative engagement with the works of the INSIDE VIEWS exhibition in the writing workshop. A key aspect of Witness Poetry is processing emotional memories and individual experiences in relation to political and serious topics. Participants of the workshop are invited to also engage with personal motives and experiences through the medium of poetry.

No prior knowledge is required.

Writing materials will be provided.
The workshop will be held in German and English.

Participation fee: Exhibition ticket plus 12 euros.
